Day One
So day one gallery sitting hasn't been too eventful. Good? Bad? Don't know. I have decided that I need to organize the take out menus. I have five from Potluck, a Japanese restaurant around the corner. With so many from there I ordered sushi for lunch. It was okay. Nothing extraordinary. Cheap, so it might become a regular thing.
There have been twelve visitors so far today. Everyone seems to be interested in the same paintings. Might end up with a fight for them; possibly sell them for more as a result. Basic economics in the works (demand increases price).
I looked through the log book at attendance records for the last year, and so far we are ahead of the average for the first day. I feel with the amount of press so far about the exhibit, mid week will pick up. Thursday the critics come through and hopefully their articles run in Friday's paper(s) in time for the reception on Saturday. If it happens that way, there will be quite a few people here. Hundreds actually. Now to figure out where to put the table for the food...
