Day Three

Today is hot. How hot you ask? It's three degrees warmer here (New York City) than in New Orleans. How does this happen? I blame aliens.

Anyway, I opened the gallery early today by two minutes. It beats opening it late like the last couple days. But I am at the whims of traffic. Today I lucked out that traffic was actually moving through the Lincoln Tunnel (*gasp* I know. Shocking). I got into Port Authority on time, and as such I wasn't in a hurry at all to get here. (I have it timed that it takes fifteen minutes to get here from Port Authority). I was going to stop for coffee, but decided to wait and order it with lunch. Plus it's cheap: $1.50.

Ordered food from From Earth to You. I had an estimated delivery time of 15-30 minutes, but the food didn't show until a hour after it was ordered. I was going to be really disappointed if the food was cold or terrible. It was neither.

When it arrived, the poor delivery guy was loaded down with other bags for delivery. Guess that's what I get for ordering at 12:15. The food is amazing. Very fresh. I ordered the personal size vegetable pizza, a large coffee (a little larger than yesterday's coffee for the same price), the three cheese sandwich for dinner, and a lemon poppyseed yogurt loaf for the ride back to my aunt's. The pizza is amazing. I can't wait to eat the sandwich. And if the smell is a good indicator, the yogurt loaf is going to be fantastic. In total I spent $18.52 (with a $3.00 tip).

As for the gallery today, it's been very slow. I'm blaming the weather (95*F at the moment). 5 guests so far today.

Quick update: The gallery down the hall is having a reception and I just almost tripled my numbers for the day because of the natural curiosity of people. Tonight the critics come. Now I'm off to head back to Atlantic City. Ooooh boy.
