So it's been a bit

Here's the scoop:

Two of my really dear friends are marrying each other on June 28th. About damn time I say. The problem is, since I took the new desk job, I have gained soooo much weight (35 pounds to be exact). This wouldn't be horrible in my world except for one little problem. I bought a dress to wear to said wedding a couple years ago. It was a bargin; couldn't pass it up ($7.98 for a Vera Wang, you would have bought it too). At the time it was a size too small. Last summer it fit. Now in the span of seven months it doesn't fit and is two inches too small all over (thankful for the proportionate body). I have 20 days from today to loose the two inches.

I am currently doing Insanity. And my God. For about 40 minutes each morning, I feel like dying. At then end of it, I have the best feeling of pure accomplishment. Sadly, I can't do the entire workout as presented. Between my right leg and my right shoulder, most everything has to be modified. I'm down to only doing certain workouts, mainly the Pure Cardio minus the level 2 drills (can't support myself on my shoulder for them). So to help with the loss of the five minutes, I have started learning the Hip-Hop routine for this year's National Dance Day on July 28th. It's a nice short cardio workout on its own which is amazing. There's a Zumba routine, but I'm not as into it as the Hip-Hop routine.

Now comes the really crazy part. I'm continuing to gain weight. Not surprising to me since I build muscle like crazy. Unfortunately, even though I build muscle easily and can turn it into lean muscle, burning fat is a whole different story. At this point, about ten pounds of the 35 mentioned above has been put on in the last week and a half; since I started working out daily. I'm still very pudgy. I have a very balanced diet; always have (yay for loving veggies). If anyone has any tips for just burning fat, please pass them along, on here or on my facebook, through twitter, G+, however you can get me, I would love you forever (if they work, that is :D).

Also, if you didn't catch the subtle plug up there, everyone should learn one or both of the routines this year for National Dance Day. I promise they are easy, quick, and you won't even feel like you are exercising (even though you are). The routines are short about a minute a piece, but the fun is finding out that everyone can dance. Get up; get out; and shake your groove thang!
