Don't you hate when life gets so exciting you forget to share it with everyone?

I don't :)

First a lovely "ever shrinking Meghan" update:
I'm officially still smaller than I was in high school but I'm more muscle than anything. Unfortunately, I'm losing the fat so fast that I'm getting the loose skin issues. To help tone, I've started taking pilates again three times a week and cycling for cardio twice a week. It's a nice balance for this cold icy weather around here. I do get out and run any day the temperature is above freezing and the sidewalks are clear. I've decided not to get injured again.

Second a job and education related update:
For those not on my Facebook feed, my current position ends December 31. As an added little bit of crazy, I'm on an as-needed basis the last two days. Now because I'm taking time off for Christmas, I have officially only two days left of work. That means during those two days, I have to get everything switched over as I will no longer have access to my work email, which is the main line of communication for my job hunt. This will not be the fun part. The fun part is I get out of my current mind numbing job. It was a nice easy two years, but I'm bored. So freaking bored with it. There is no challenge and I love being challenged. Give me some problems to solve. Let me get in there and actually fix things. The most challenging thing that's happened lately, job related, was trying to figure out why everything hated my sign-on information. So anyway, I've had quite a few interviews and nothing as of yet. Today interviewed at David's Bridal for a service supervisor position. It went really well, but there's a long interview process with it, so it's going to take a few more weeks. I'm actually excited at the prospect of going back to retail. And let's face it, bridal is amazing. As for school, I'm still trucking along with it.

And finally, a little information about looking into the new year:
This past year was a year of transformation and growth. It was a year of building a foundation on which to continue beyond the year. I'm not one to make New Year's resolutions; I hardly ever stick with them beyond New Year's day. The difference with what I did this year was the fact that I made a promise to myself. Too much in my life was going wrong and I wasn't happy. I promised to start listening to my body and start surrounding myself with positives. I had to make the change and I can say I definitely did. I'm still working through some health related things, but I have never been happier. Even with the way the year is ending, this normally pesimistic person, is very optimistic. I survived a year of change and I'm ready to crash into 2014 and continue to build and grow. It's now not just a promise, but my life. And I love it.

Thank you to everyone who has helped me through this year. It has been amazing.

For 2014, I will put more effort into this blog so everyone can jump on this crazy train I've called home for a year. As a way to start off the 2014 crazy, I am training for the Spartan Sprint at Fenway Park. It's usually late in the year. 2013's was the week before Thanksgiving. So you have plenty of time. I'm looking to form a team so we can all save some money (the more team members the more money saved). Let me know if you want to join, I'll create a Facebook page and group thing so we can all stay on track. Even if you don't want to participate in the event, this is a great way to get fit. Everyone is trying to get healthy, so why not join in this lovely fun. Also, I might do a Warrior Dash in the spring or summer as a training thing for the Spartan.
