Wardrobe Wednesday
I got two amazing boxes of clothes today. One was an order from Lularoe through my friend that had some amazingly comfy stuff. The other was my first Stitch Fix box. I don't think I've been more excited to blog about my clothing. So here are the reviews of all 7 items I got today, along with pictures.
*As an aside, my butt looks awesome these days and I'm down quite a few inches since I started this blog a few years back.*
Pay no attention to the gigantic boobs in this shot. The angle is a little weird, and yes I have big boobs...
The elephant print is what got me to buy it. When I first pulled this dress out of the package, I was surprised at how long it was. I was sure I would need to hem it. Surprisingly enough, it hits at just the right spot--mid-calf. Now I just need to figure out shoes...
It's like a super long, super soft t-shirt. The diagnal print is so slimming. I kind of wish I had also purchased it's sibling, the flamingo printed Julia.
See my boobs are big, just not that gigantic. Although the boy thinks they are huge...
I love this dress. It's a faux wrap dress with a sweetheart neckline which is super flattering for larger chested gals. And because the skirt floats away from the body at the natural waist, it hides a lot. The print is a little hard to see in the picture at the right, but it's a navy blue with red polka dots.

Classic T-shirt
Like the style says, it's a classic t-shirt. Made of the same material as the Julia dress above, it's super soft and stretchy. Did I mention how stretchy this material is? It's stretchy so it fits multiple body types (skinny to cuddly) and still flatters.
I almost didn't get this top. I had my eye on a hot pink number. But saw this and liked the giant dots. Also liked that they weren't one on each boob. It's a navy color with white striped dots and a couple red ones.
Stitch Fix
First off with this set of items, I did not keep anything (I will detail why below). Second, this was a blind box. Stitch Fix, once you sign up, gives you a stylist who puts together boxes of 5 items tailored to your taste. There is a quiz you take when you sign up and linking a Pinterest board to your profile helps. My style is a bit ecclectic and I really think my Pinterest board helped tremendously. Third, here is my referal link if you would like to try Stitch Fix: https://www.stitchfix.com/referral/6183611.
These are in order from least liked to most adored:
5. MakNadira Pullover Sweater in black
4. Margaret M Emer Jacquard Print High Waisted Pant in Black
I put these two together for two reasons: 1. they look good together; 2. the only two that fit (aside from the dress below).
The sweater is really soft so that's a plus and the wide V-neck is super flattering for my large chest. Unfortunately, due to the color, you can't really see the detail of the sweater. Even if I wore something underneathe, the intricasies would be lost.
The pants are a cool jacquard pring. It reminds me of the old ceiling detail in one of the local bars here in Delaware. Bar ceilings aside, these fit well (although I don't think they were supposed to be legging like...). The reason for their return was the number of loose threads on each seam and at $98 dollars, I wasn't buying them.
3. BRIXON IVY Reyne Lace Shoulder Blouse in off-white
I couldn't put this shirt on because my upper arms are too large for the sleeves. Which was okay. I wasn't going to get it because I currently own a very similar shirt. I'm not too keen on the contrasting lace like this, but it works for this shirt.
My bedspread is almost the same color as the shirt. Had to do a little editing to show the shirt color better.
2. Leota Abilene Printed Sweetheart Dress in navy
I chose not to buy this for two reasons:
- It's a jersy knit dress with a retail price of $148.
- I have a pattern for a dress that is almost exactly the same and I can get similar print fabric making my version around $50.
1. 41Hawthorn Filbert 3/4 Sleeve Popover Blouse in burgundy
I love this shirt.
I was really sad that it didn't fit.
I did get it on, but it was too small.
Need the next size up.
Requested it for my next box in two months.
Will be bought as my birthday present to myself.
This particular shirt also had some threads loose on it, so it was going back even if it had fit.
And that's it. It was a fun day. Now I need to buy my fabric and get to making that dress.
But first, Poppilates.
