It's been over 2 years...
It's been awhile...
Anyway, I've started an entirely new approach to my workouts. For years I'd used things I found online and predominantly worked out at home. Then I got a membership to the YMCA and to Title Boxing. I figured between them I would be fine. Well, I started avoiding the Y because it was too much effort to get workouts together. And I got bored with Title because each workout was too similar to previous workouts. I had a real case of apathy toward my workouts with no motivation to change.
A year ago, a good friend of mine started doing Orange Theory Fitness. She seemed to thrive and was making progress. I watched her journey and became curious to what the fuss was about (more friends joined their local OTF and started sharing their very positive experiences). I looked up information for my area and saw a new location was set to open in November. I figured why not.
In late September I went to an open house and heard the pitch. Signed up as I would get two weeks of free classes leading up to the grand opening and could back out if I wanted before being charged for anything. After one class I cancelled my memberships at the Y and Title. After one class I felt I had finally found a workout and environment I would enjoy. After one class, I was in love with OTF.
Almost two months later, I'm feeling amazing. The best thing? I've only missed two workouts: the first because I was sick and the second because I was injured. I average 5 days a week, though this and the next two weeks I'm scheduled 6 days. Overall I'm seeing amazing changes physically and emotionally.
In almost 2 months of #orangetheoryfitness classes, the following has happened:
🔸Food cravings gone
🔸Sleep quality best in years
🔸1 mile pace is at 5mph average
🔸Lost 7 pounds
🔸Increased lift weight by 10lbs average
🔸Mood is balanced and generally happier
I ♥️ #OTF
