You know things are weird

You know things are weird in you life when you have a better relationship with your account handler at the debt collector than any of your closest friends.

Just got off the phone with R the account manager for my accounts with Local Debt Collector. (Obviously names have been changed.) R was calling to see what I was willing to do to get one of the four loans in my account paid off sooner. And added bonus no additional money required from me each month. In a year I've paid almost $10k off on the total amount of the four loans. Now with the reallocation of my payment I'm looking to pay off a loan in about 6 months. I love working with Local Debt Collector.

Loan Originator has been horrible. I have three loans still with them and combined the monthly payment is almost $100 more than the total payment of the four with Local Debt Collector. And Loan Originator is not willing to work with me to get the loans paid. So I'm paying the same amount I've been paying which is only half of the total due usually a few days past due and since I'm paying through their online payment thing I'm putting most of each payment toward one to pay it down faster. I'm waiting for those three to be sent over to Local Debt Collector; and I told R as much.

If things work out how I think they will, I will be moving into a higher paying position within the company I work for by June. With that huge increase in income, I will be able to really start paying off my loans. It's a freeing thought.
