Day Twenty: Last Day

Part 1

The last month has been a great experience. Not may negatives. But I have only had one bad experience while in New York. I love this city and this borough specifically. Chelsea is quiet (comparatively) and not overly populated by tourists. It's full of art from galleries to music studios to design firms to auto body mechanics. I love walking through this neighborhood and feeling how alive it is with all this art. Most people working here embrace it thoroughly and decorate themselves with it. Tattoos and piercings are normal. It's gotten me thinking about my next tattoo. I still don't know what I want though.

This last week has been hard for one thing--it's been almost dead. It's been one of those why even bother type weeks. On the up side, this is the last day. It means no more sitting for hours talking to no one. It means no more 2.5 hour bus rides. It also means the end of an amazing show. It means the end of my being able to tell people "I work in the city."

I will not be leaving to head home until August 2nd. I will be flying. Even though it costs more than taking a Greyhound, it means I get home in 1.5 hours and not 13. Plus I won't be on a bus.
